Why are Math Facts so important?

Math Facts are important because they form the building blocks for higher-level Math concepts. Skills such as adding and subtracting larger numbers, telling time, counting money, measurement, long multiplication and division are just a few of the concepts that a child will encounter fairly early in their Math careers. If students have mastered Math Facts, these concepts will be significantly easier and they will be better equipped to solve them more quickly.

We will be learning, practicing and testing on various addition and subtraction math facts this year. Students will be bringing home flashcards to practice these skills at home as well. If at any time you should need another copy of these flashcards, please use the links below!
